Privacy & Data Security at Pirida
At Pirida, we take data privacy and security seriously. Our services are designed to help conference teams build effective sponsor prospecting systems while ensuring full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
How We Handle Data
We do not collect personal data directly through our website. Instead, we build custom sponsor prospecting lists using:
Publicly available business data: Information that is open and accessible from trusted sources.
Client-provided data: When clients provide us with data, we process it on their behalf, ensuring it's compliant with GDPR.
Our Commitment to GDPR Compliance
We are committed to handling data ethically and in full compliance with GDPR requirements. Our services are designed to:
Protect personal data: We ensure that all data processing is secure, and we never process sensitive personal data.
Ensure transparency: We only process data for the legitimate interests of our clients, and you have the right to request access to any data we hold.
Respect data rights: We respect your rights under GDPR, including the right to request correction or deletion of data.
Data Security Measures
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect the data we process, including encryption, secure storage, and access control protocols.
Your Data Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
Access: Request information on what personal data we hold.
Rectify: Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erase: Request deletion of your data when it's no longer necessary.
Object: Object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances.
If you have any questions about the data we process or wish to exercise any of your rights, please don’t hesitate to contact us at privacy@pirida.com. We will respond promptly and in accordance with GDPR requirements..
Data Retention
We retain processed data only as long as necessary to fulfil our contractual obligations. Once the data is no longer needed, it is securely deleted.
Data Processing Agreements (DPAs)
When clients share data with us — such as lists of past event sponsors or other business contacts — we act as a data processor under GDPR. In these cases, we enter into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that clearly outlines how we handle, protect, and process that data on behalf of the client.
The DPA ensures:
Data is used only for the specific purposes agreed upon (e.g., building sponsor prospecting tools)
All processing activities comply with GDPR
Appropriate security and access controls are in place
Data is deleted or returned once it’s no longer needed
If your organisation shares personal data with Pirida as part of our services, we will provide a DPA as part of the onboarding process to ensure mutual clarity and compliance.
